following a couple of interviews, i was just accepted into the program, and i very much so want to continue with it, but frankly i don’t know what to expect. i suppose what it really comes down to is putting in three months of my life for a lateral move all just to work with tesla, as bad as it sounds when i put it like that i really just can’t pass up an opportunity with tesla. i had a tesla mobile service technician come to my house for a minor repair (ultrasonic sensor) the other day, and i asked him how he liked working for tesla. that’s good to hear, i figured it’d be a lot of work, but i’m yet to hear about the medical benefits. my group was really varied too, couple army guys, some who worked at the fremont factory, a truck driver, and some diesel techs like you. i was accepted into the charlotte program, and that’s really the only one very viable for me as i’m in alabama.
i’m currently enrolled in the community college that offers the program so it’s really close to me and i would be super excited to be a part of it. the vast majority of diesels in the u.s. are trucks so they’ll be sticking around until electric trucks are more common. you probably make more working on diesels, but like i said, electric vehicles are the future. conversely, you can take ev experience with you anywhere in about 5 years and have a leg up over most people who will only have combustion experience so it might be a good resume builder on top of your present goals. if you are not planning to become the best at what you do and working well with people, forgot it, it would be a wasted time and loss of money. i’m 20, so pretty young, and i’m more than happy to get into something that could be very lucrative in the long haul. electric is a growing market and i think this would be a great investment in your future.
but how could i turn down an opportunity to work at tesla? it’s essentially a paid internship to start, and i’d be paid less i recently stumbled across the start program and it caught my eye. the problem is that i dont have any experience, and i i can’t find a forum, reddit or otherwise, for discussion of working at tesla or the start program is this the best place?, tesla start program reviews, tesla start program reviews, tesla start up, tesla for college students, tesla start program technician salary.
